About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location as an unarmed, driving patrol officer. You will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years’ armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at an aviation and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, hangar areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas by verifying identification, checking visitor authorization, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol activity reports, incident reports, and visitor logs, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or client contacts.
