Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
• An active armed guard card or license is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help protect people and property within the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare staff and visitors to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to medical emergencies, disturbances, and other incidents specific to a healthcare environment.
• Follow all Allied Universal protocols and client site-specific instructions while maintaining professionalism at all times.
