About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Site - Full Time in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. Requirements

• Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents as required by site procedures.
• Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and directions as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary according to site protocols.
• Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
