About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrols in Hookerton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Six months or more of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or potential threats.
Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed in the event of an incident.
Maintain a visible security-related presence to help to deter unwanted behavior within the government facility.
Complete detailed and accurate reports of all incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by Allied Universal and the client site, including those related to the use of firearms and other security-related equipment.
