About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Leader in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding professionally to incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service while upholding our core values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter, remaining alert to any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring for unusual or prohibited behavior.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and any incidents that occur during shifts.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required, following established protocols for the government environment.
• Remain knowledgeable about and compliant with all post orders and protocols specific to the government location being served.
