About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Manson, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This position requires you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle, as you will be responsible for monitoring various areas and responding promptly to incidents. Requirements

• Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and activities.
• Complete detailed reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter security-related risks within the government facility.
