About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license as required.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be able to ride a bike.
Possess a valid driver’s license with Class B and passenger endorsement.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor for and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and/or criminal activity.
Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and the client site management.
Assist first responders and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents.
Document all incidents, observations, and security-related activities according to company and client protocols.
Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with training and company policies.
