Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military is required.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or armed guard license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible security-related presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control and identification verification as required by site-specific policies and procedures.
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services personnel during incidents as needed.
Complete detailed and accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, and activities during the shift.
