About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Facility Patrol in Surry, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with those you encounter. This role requires an armed guard license and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with a company that values teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns observed during patrols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and to provide assistance as needed to employees and visitors.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during incidents or emergencies.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities while on duty.
