As a Security Guard - Visitor Check Driver in Riverside, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control by checking credentials, monitoring entry points, and documenting security-related activity. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols, and communicate clearly with staff, drivers, and visitors to help support smooth operations. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy requirements, and it offers a team-first culture built on integrity.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and credentials, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and driver logs.
  • Conduct security-related screening of vehicles, trailers, and deliveries as required, including checking seals, documentation, and appointment information, and escalating discrepancies per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy violations, reporting findings per procedure.
