Job Description As a Security Guard - Access Control Specialist in Seattle, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all individuals on site. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service. This position requires driving responsibilities, and you will play a key role in supporting a positive and secure experience for everyone at the location.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities as required by site policies.
Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and provide support during emergencies.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times while performing access control duties.
