As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol residential locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming presence for residents and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of residents, guests, and vendors to help to deter unauthorized entry at the residential location.
  • Provide customer service by assisting residents and visitors with inquiries and directing them as needed while following site-specific policies.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and respond to incidents or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential issues.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or maintenance concerns according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities as appropriate, including following evacuation and/or lockdown protocols when necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to residents and guests at the location.
