This position is located at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina. The selected candidate will serve as a Security Generalist for the F-35 Program. The selected candidate will be required to interact daily with key GOV stakeholders and members of Active Duty USMC F-35 Squadrons with confidence, poise and professionalism. The selected candidate should be comfortable making decisions autonomously and successfully operating in a fast-paced military flying operations environment. Previous experience in military leadership and decision-making roles would be beneficial. The selected candidate will primarily work in the MAG-31 Pilot Training Center Special Access Program Facility performing Special Access Program Personnel Security functions. On occasion, incumbents may be required to work 1st or 2nd shift, a non-standard work schedule, and at any of the local F-35 Facilities to support mission requirements. This may differ from the primary shift/schedule/work location being hired for. Must be able and willing to perform business travel, to include Squadron detachments, depending on operational needs. Position may require the ability to perform in an arduous/austere duty environment to support the customer in that location. May be required to work at deployed locations, work rotating shifts, and work more than 40 hours per week due to operational and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Current SECRET security clearance with an investigation within 5 years from the investigation Closed date or confirmed enrollment within the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance or confirmed enrollment within the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program if and when local mission requirements dictate.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAPs).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) if/when mission requirements dictate.
  • Familiar with working in classified environments and/or classified materials.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communicative skills.
  • Basic knowledge of DoD Manual 5205.07, DoD Manual 5200.01 Volumes 1-3, ICD 705 and associated Technical Specifications.
  • Works well independently and in group settings.

Nice To Haves

  • In-depth knowledge of F-35 Program Security requirements.
  • Broad experience with Personnel Security functions and processes; database, access rosters, PSQ & Templates, SAP nomination forms, Program Access Requests, and more.
  • Broad experience working in Special Access Programs.
  • Prior experience with GSA containers and document control.
  • Experience working in a dynamic Military environment and be able to successfully interact daily with senior ranking USMC commissioned officers and key GOV stakeholders with confidence, poise and professionalism.
  • Comfortable making decisions autonomously and successfully operating in a military flying operations environment. Previous experience in military leadership and decision-making roles would be beneficial.
  • Familiarization with Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Access Control and Physical Security experience, ability to perform assigned tasks, and 3 Years of experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Special Access Program Personnel Security functions in support of MAG-31 Special Access Program accessed personnel and and the GSSO as required.
  • Physical security of assigned F-35 facilities at MCAS Beaufort.
  • Security participation in the Pilot Training Center and USMC F-35 Squadrons' integration and sustainment activities.
  • F-35 specific Special Access Program support, and the overall execution of contractual security requirements.
  • Control access to all F-35 facilities, providing escort when required, and assisting in the planning, evaluation and execution of program security operations related to Special Access Program Facilities and Operations IAW current program and regulatory guidance.
  • Provide assistance to other security team members, as appropriate.
  • Perform other Security Generalist duties in support of key GOV stakeholder, the F-35 Pilot Training Center, and USMC F-35 Squadrons as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
