As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-end retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist guests and team members with professional communication, document observations, and respond to concerns with calm service. Requirements
- Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 or more years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor and report suspicious behavior, potential theft indicators, and/or policy violations, and communicate observations to store leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with local law enforcement when directed.
- Complete detailed reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and support opening and/or closing duties such as access control checks and alarm status verification.
