As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and communicate clearly while delivering a welcoming customer service experience. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a telecom and technology location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or badges as required by site policy, and assist with directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions such as unsecured doors, suspicious activity, or potential hazards, and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in a clear and timely manner using paper forms and/or site reporting systems.
  • Provide support during alarms, outages, and service disruptions by following post orders, coordinating with site operations, and helping to maintain orderly movement within the location.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, and delivery drivers, enforcing site rules in a courteous manner and referring issues to management when needed.
  • Operate security-related equipment such as radios, phones, and access control systems as assigned by post orders.
  • Participate in briefings, follow Allied Universal post instructions, and coordinate with other team members for shift coverage and incident response.
