As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor assistance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with tenants and staff, and use a computer or tablet for reporting. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and key areas, assist with visitor check-in and/or badging as assigned, and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Complete routine documentation such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant observations to the appropriate contacts.
