As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points by screening visitors, employees, and deliveries, verifying credentials, and documenting activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns while supporting smooth operations. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct entry and exit screening of personnel and visitors, including verification of identification, processing visitor logs, and issuing temporary access credentials per site procedures.
  • Screen bags, packages, and other items as required using approved screening methods and equipment, and communicate screening results and policy reminders in a professional manner.
  • Monitor access points, alarms, and/or video systems, and report unusual activity, policy violations, or maintenance concerns through the established chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document activities in written reports, and coordinate with site contacts and/or local responders as directed.
