As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, log visits, and support employee and driver traffic flow. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly while providing customer-focused assistance. This is a driving post. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and verifying delivery and pickup documentation for vehicles entering and/or exiting the site.
• Monitor and document inbound and outbound traffic flow at gates and dock areas, helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting irregularities per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, completing incident documentation, and supporting first responder access as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, and perimeter, and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns observed during rounds.
