About The Position

The Flex Security Officer provides reliable, professional security services across multiple locations on an as-needed basis. This role requires adaptability, strong observational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. Flex officers fill in for scheduled staff absences, special assignments, or high-demand periods.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Able to pass drug test and criminal background check
Minimum age 25 for rover and licensing reasons
Valid security guard license (if required by state)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between sites
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Basic computer skills for reporting and monitoring systems
Situational awareness and attention to detail
Conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
Dependability and professionalism
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Quick decision-making under pressure

Nice To Haves

Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of criminal activity or safety hazards
Monitor surveillance systems and control access points
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
Write clear, accurate, and detailed incident and activity reports
Enforce company and client policies, procedures, and regulations
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence
Assist with crowd control and traffic management when necessary
Adapt quickly to different post assignments, environments, and schedules
