About The Position

Are You A Hands-on Leader with a Knack for Safety, Security and Keeping Things Running Smoothly? We’re seeking a hands-on, dependable leader to join our team as a Security & Facilities Supervisor. If you’re passionate about creating safe, well-maintained environments and ready to lead with integrity, this may be the role for you. As a Supervisor of Security & Facilities, you’ll oversee day-to-day building operations and supervise security and maintenance personnel across all agency sites within Hoboken, Plainfield and Somerset, NJ. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, clients, and facilities, while also managing work orders, coordinating emergency drills, and supporting critical infrastructure needs. From responding to emergencies and maintaining safety protocols, to collaborating with law enforcement and contractors, you’ll play a key role in keeping HOPES CAP, Inc. running smoothly and safely.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid NJ SORA License (Security Officer Registration Act)
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or relevant experience in facilities and security
  • Proficient in MIcrosoft Office and internal systems; able to manage invoices, purchase orders and digital records.
  • Knowledge of property management, building maintenance and facilities operations.
  • Demonstrated skills in employee supervision and management.
  • Working knowledge of safety codes, security procedures, and emergency response.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage crisis situations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise security and facilities staff to ensure quality service and secure environments.
  • Oversee security operations including access control, safety checks, and emergency procedures.
  • Oversee property management and facilities operations, including coordinating facility repairs, routine maintenance, inspections, and vendor services.
  • Monitor and review surveillance systems and respond to incidents as needed.
  • Coordinate facility repairs, routine maintenance, and contractor services.
  • Manage invoices, purchase orders and maintain electronic logs, reports in accordance with protocols.
  • Conduct routine safety walkthroughs and elevator inspections.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with local police, fire, and emergency departments.
  • Promote a professional, welcoming environment across all agency locations.
  • Participate in agency events, initiatives, and interdepartmental communications.
  • Be available for on-call assignments, especially during weather-related or emergency situations.
