About The Position

The Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing physical and cybersecurity systems. This role benefits from expertise and experience in cybersecurity engineering, security camera support, and cloud computing. The ideal candidate will be versatile and capable of handling a wide range of technologies to ensure the seamless operation of our IT environment.

Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in one or more of the following technical engineering disciplines: physical security systems, cybersecurity engineering, network engineering, or Cloud engineering.
  • Versatility: Ability to work across a wide range of technologies and adapt to new challenges quickly.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently as part of 3rd level, escalated support.
  • Project Management: Experience in participating in the engineering function of IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in related infrastructure engineering technologies as listed above.

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical System Selection: Experience in evaluating and selecting technical systems that align with business goals.
  • Engineering and Implementation: Proven track record of engineering and implementing IT solutions in a complex environment.
  • Physical Security Experience: 3+ years of experience in security camera system design and support

Responsibilities

  • Manage Physical Security Control Systems: Set up and configure security cameras, AI configurations, automation, workflows, and alerts.
  • Site Surveys: Perform site assessments to determine the optimal placement of security cameras and other access control equipment.
  • IT Project Management: Build and manage deployment projects and timelines for engineering efforts.
  • Oversee Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring their work meets quality standards and project requirements.
  • Security Engineering: Implement and maintain cybersecurity systems (SIEM, EDR, etc.) to protect the organization's IT infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Technical System Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and systems to meet business needs.
  • Implementation and Management: Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of Cloud systems, ensuring they meet organizational requirements and standards.
