About The Position

Our Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. Security Engineers work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. In this role, you will also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities. In this role, you will be a trusted partner with one of our products to help secure their existing products, and help new products be developed with security in mind. You will work directly with the software engineers, hardware engineers, product managers, and UX researchers to identify and resolve security issues. This will involve static and dynamic code analysis, application penetration testing, and design review. Your security reviews will uncover bugs, and we encourage exploit development to demonstrate the impact of a vulnerability. We also go a step further and develop individual or systemic fixes to common vulnerability patterns. You will also partner with other security teams full of privacy engineers, software engineers, and researchers to ensure our products are getting the best security the industry has to offer. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
