About The Position

Acuity is seeking a Security Engineer - Identity & Access Management to assist with the configuration and management of IAM tools and systems. IAM Engineers support the integration of IGA solutions with various applications and systems, collaborate to improves IAM processes and workflows, document and provide training on IAM procedures, and respond to IAM related incidents and service requests.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years practical experience in computer operations, applications and/or technical support or information security.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent and continued field specific education.
  • A keen interest and aptitude for problem identification and resolution.
  • Full understanding of operating system hardware, software, network components, security, and/or database management system.
  • Ability to provide exact audit trails and recovery points during project life cycles to ensure maximum system stability.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with technical and non-technical system users and industry vendors.
  • Good listening ability as well as the ability to competently train others.
  • Willingness to respond to problems with little notice as well as to adjusting off hours scheduling to meet company project installation dates.
  • Depending on job responsibilities, may be required to reside within a 2-hour radius of the Acuity corporate headquarters.
  • Be accountable and respond when reached out to for assistance during and outside of typical work hours, this may include participating in an off-hour call list.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IAM technologies; examples being SailPoint, Saviynt, CyberArk, and Entra ID.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement IGA Solutions: Develop and deploy IGA systems to manage user identities, entitlements, and access across the organization.
  • Software Development : Write, test, and maintain code for IAM platform integration, custom connectors, and functionalities using programming languages like Java, Python, or similar.
  • Configure and Optimize IAM Tools: Work with IAM technologies to optimize performance and security.
  • Automation of Processes: Implement automation for user provisioning, de-provisioning, and lifecycle management.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain identity governance processes, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Configure and manage authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and privilege escalation.
  • Ensure IAM systems and policies are following industry standards, regulations, and best practices, and assist in audits and assessments.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for IAM processes, policies, and configurations.
  • Stay current with IAM technology trends and drive continuous improvement in IAM systems and processes.
