We move fast, with precision, and always execute with privacy at the forefront. We're looking for a Security Engineer to join the IAM (Identity and Access Management) team at Snap Inc!

Requirements

  • Excellent programming and software design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems and cloud security technologies.
  • Security knowledge in one or more team-relevant domains and technologies: Identity and access management in GCP or AWS.
  • Balancing the principle of least privilege with productivity and security.
  • Implementing and managing organization-wide security controls and guardrails.
  • Container and Kubernetes security principles; hands-on experience with EKS is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail.
  • BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience designing, securing, and deploying large systems to Google Cloud or AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust security measures to fortify Snap's data and infrastructure, especially in identity and access management.
  • Conduct in-depth security reviews of new platforms and services, and build tools to enhance data privacy and security throughout its lifecycle.
  • Build automation and tools to enhance security and governance across our cloud environments.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure exceptional code quality
  • Be a champion for security and user privacy
