About The Position

The Information Security Engineer will report directly to and support the Chief Information Security Officer to provide the highest quality information assurance program to our business teams and customers. The Information Security Engineer will develop and implement security processes and solutions, including the ongoing assessment and compliance to required security guidelines across the enterprise computing environment. We are looking for someone with a strong background in next generation Palo Alto firewalls and a proven ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands on experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls
• 7+ years' experience in IT security operations and architecture
• Experience with standard security tools: Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Anti-Virus, Vulnerability Scanners, etc.
• Experience analyzing network, event and security logs

Nice To Haves

• Four year degree in a relevant field preferred or an equivalent amount of post-secondary education and experience
• CISSP, CISA, CEH, CSSLP, CHFI, CCSP, GCIH, GCIA, PMP, ITIL v3

Responsibilities

• Administer network and computing systems that enforce security policies and audit controls in a MS Windows environment
• Formulate security architecture recommendations and design security services
• Perform hands-on support for a wide range of security technologies
• Review and assess the security configuration of clients, servers, and databases
• Co-develop standard security configuration documents to ensure effective use of system and application logs
• Assist in responses to external audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments
• Research emerging technologies in support of security enhancement and development efforts
• Perform project leadership tasks on select security projects
• Maintain strong familiarity with application and network security
