About The Position

Netflix is seeking an experienced Staff Security Engineer to join our Workforce and Infrastructure Security (WISSE) leadership team. The WISSE organization is responsible for driving proactive security controls across our technology footprint. This role will be focused on specific engagements on emerging and critical risks for the business identified via the risk lifecycle (eg: GenAI security being the imminent one). You will be responsible for understanding the overall business context and threat landscape for an initiative, driving strategy and guiding execution for the risk mitigation outcomes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to significantly reduce risk and influence technical strategy.
  • Experience with emerging security problems in the GenAI space.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocols (MCPs), agentic development, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and orchestration frameworks.
  • Knowledge of common GenAI vulnerability classes.
  • Technical breadth across multiple security domains, with depth in one or more areas: InfraSec, AppSec, CloudSec.
  • Ability to bring clarity of vision to ambiguous and complex spaces.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive and strategic mindset.
