About The Position

The Security Dispatch Officer at Arizona Charlie's Decatur in Las Vegas, NV is responsible for the successful security surveillance review, communication, and deployment of security officers as necessary to respond to calls for aid and/or other assistance during the course of a normal shift. This role involves reviewing and recording footage requests, monitoring surveillance cameras, and ensuring compliance with gaming laws and company policies.

Requirements

  • At least one year of casino security, law enforcement, surveillance, military or EMT experience.
  • Experience with or ability to read and understand all tabular status display monitors for elevators in emergencies.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Proven experience using sound judgment and making appropriate decisions during challenging situations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating system and applications preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group situations, as well as one-on-one.
  • Familiarity with all laws and codes of the Uniform Fire Code and the authority having jurisdiction.
  • Ability to remain calm during emergency situations to coordinate activities from the Fire Command Center.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Watches cameras and monitors for surveillance within the scope of Security responsibility.
  • Downloads footage as needed and/or requested using digital recording equipment.
  • Works closely with property Surveillance department to track suspicious and/or unusual activity.
  • Reports suspicious and/or unusual activity to property Security employee(s) for further investigation.
  • Captures and prints photos from the monitoring system.
  • Remains up to date and completely familiar with the property layout and locations of various alarm systems.
  • Directs responding units immediately to the location of active alarms.
  • Maintains working knowledge of smoke control panels for manual operation if required.
  • Works closely with law enforcement and courts in responding to subpoenas.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations.
  • Assists with investigations in collaboration with Risk Management and Human Resources departments.
  • Assists with Casino Security Officer job duties as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
