About The Position

The Security Detail Leader (SDL) is responsible for the close-in protection of designated protectees, ensuring their safety during movements and venue visits. This role involves coordinating mission planning, finalizing details with protectees, and preparing pre-mission briefings. The SDL will also command the limousine during motorcade operations, having override authority in critical situations to ensure the protectee's safety.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess a minimum of six (6) years' experience in protective security assignments.
• A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must have been as a Shift Leader working in protective security on WPS III and/or any of its predecessor contracts.
• The remaining four (4) years of experience may be gained in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed protective services.
• Must attend and successfully complete a supervisory course meeting the requirements established in WPS III IDIQ.
• Must attend and successfully complete the PSS training course before beginning work on the contract.
• Qualify with the Glock-19, M4 or MK18, M240, and M249 as specified by the designated TO.
• Obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance as specified in the TO.
• Complete the WPS III Physical Readiness Test at the sixty-five (65) percent performance level.

Responsibilities

• Perform close-in protection of the protectee(s), ensuring their safety during movements and venue visits.
• Coordinate initial mission planning, including coordination with the TOC/SOC and other RSO personnel to assign and schedule route and site surveys.
• Finalize details with the protectee regarding number of passengers, number of venues to be visited, venue-specific information, and any special needs.
• Prepare and give pre-mission briefings for protectees prior to movement, addressing destination, planned routes, estimated duration, and guidance in the event of an incident.
• In command of the limo during motorcade operations, with override authority in the event of an incident.
