As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet. This is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
CPR and or first aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying identification and credentials for all persons entering and/or exiting the premises.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site policies.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Remain alert and observant to potential hazards and/or unusual conditions, promptly communicating any concerns to appropriate personnel.
