Requirements

Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
Have 1+ year of security-related experience.
Have a college degree.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be 21+ years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors at a government location by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and designated access procedures.
Carry out security-related screening of people, vehicles, and deliveries as required, including verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate public resources and notifying site leadership per protocol.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter prohibited activity and/or unauthorized access; document observations and report maintenance or policy concerns.
Complete security-related reports such as incident reports, activity logs, and shift handoffs with clear, timely communication to supervisors and site representatives.
