Requirements

  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Have 1+ year of security-related experience.
  • Have a college degree.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors at a government location by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and designated access procedures.
  • Carry out security-related screening of people, vehicles, and deliveries as required, including verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate public resources and notifying site leadership per protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter prohibited activity and/or unauthorized access; document observations and report maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Complete security-related reports such as incident reports, activity logs, and shift handoffs with clear, timely communication to supervisors and site representatives.
