About The Position

Are you an experienced security administrator looking for your next challenge? Southern Water is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Security Coordinator to join our Protective Security team. This is a brand-new role, giving you the unique opportunity to shape, streamline, and take ownership of key security processes. You’ll play a central part in delivering innovative security initiatives and supporting our mission to keep our people and assets safe.

Requirements

Experience in a security administration or similar role.
Strong project management skills and proficiency with MS 365.
Ability to develop and present KPIs.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Discretion in handling sensitive information.
Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence.
Ability to engage positively with stakeholders at all levels.
Must hold or be capable of holding National Security vetting to SC level.
Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate Personnel Security (PerSec): Manage the security vetting application process, liaising with HR, business units, and vetting agencies. Ensure all records are audit-ready and clearances are managed throughout the employee lifecycle.
Drive Compliance: Work closely with the Protective Security and Major Projects teams to allocate and track compliance forms, ensuring accurate records and smooth processes.
Govern Access Control: Oversee the governance of electronic access rights, ensuring staff access aligns with security clearance and job roles.
Monitor and Report: Develop and produce KPIs for key security processes and monitor the central Protective Security Team email.
Support the Team: Provide essential administrative support to keep our security operations running smoothly.
