The Security Control Center Operator is responsible for monitoring the physical security systems, electronic security systems and fire systems, answering telephone requests for service, dispatching security officers in response to incidents and requests for services, recording accurate information, and knowing the location of all security personnel assets for efficient deployment in an emergency. Has primary responsibility for coordination of security activities in conjunction with the security manager and security supervisor. Responsible for general clerical support for the Department leadership, including data collection and report preparation. Responsible for fire monitoring and alarm systems and working closely with facilities and safety to ensure adequate fire system testing and maintenance by taking systems off-line as directed.
