Security Control Center Operator

The Security Control Center Operator plays a crucial role in supporting the MDA Security and Emergency Management Directorate (DSS) by executing various Security Operations Services at MDA facilities across the United States. This position is primarily focused on ensuring that emergencies and security violations are promptly identified and reported to the appropriate authorities. The operator intervenes directly only in situations that necessitate minimal action to protect property or individuals. The overarching mission of the Enterprise Access Control Support (EACS) contract is to provide comprehensive security operations throughout the MDA enterprise, which includes safeguarding facilities, resources, personnel, meetings, missions, and conferences both nationally and internationally. This support is essential for the Agency to achieve its strategic objectives. As an Integrated Electronic Security System and emergency communications monitor/operator, the Security Control Center Operator is responsible for coordinating emergency responses to crises within MDA facilities. This includes dispatching available EACS personnel to emergency or alarm areas to ascertain the cause of incidents. The operator maintains visibility of all on-duty personnel and provides guidance to officers responding to alarms or other emergency situations. In addition, the operator is expected to assist medical, fire department, law enforcement, and other personnel as directed by supervisors. The role also involves responding to emergencies and performing CPR, AED, and First Aid as necessary. The operator is tasked with developing and maintaining attendance rosters and after-action reports for special events, monitoring various security systems, and relaying critical information to the security team regarding security, medical, fire, and disaster details via the monitoring station. Furthermore, the operator is required to input data into an operation log on an hourly basis and perform other duties as assigned.
