The Shift manager is an exempt employee that provides work direction and coordinates the activities of staff involved in operations activities. The manager can perform the most complex assignments and gets involved in solving the most complex problems seeking guidance and advice from the operations manager only in the most complex matters. The shift manager has a large degree of independence in making decisions and is able to conduct duties and responsibilities of the SCC operator position while overseeing daily operations and managing special assignments, such as staffing, knowledge management, training and/or quality assurance.

  • Provide work direction and coordinate activities of staff involved in operations activities.
  • Perform complex assignments and solve complex problems.
  • Oversee daily operations and manage special assignments.
  • Conduct duties and responsibilities of the SCC operator position.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically, 2+ years of applicable experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of operations, products/services, systems, and risks/controls applicable to assigned area.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends.
  • Well-developed analytical skills.
  • Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong PC skills, particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, databases, and presentations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good at developing effective working relationships.
  • Flexible and views change or problems as opportunities to grow.
  • Takes initiative and assumes responsibility for necessary actions and problem resolution.
