About The Position
The Security Consultant IV, Behavioral Threat Management position is a critical role within Kaiser Permanente, specifically designed to enhance the organization's threat management strategy and processes. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and managing potential threats to personnel and business operations. The consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing threat management processes that effectively triage reported behaviors causing safety concerns. This includes maintaining ethical and legal case status records, monitoring data trends, and leveraging evidence-based practices to assess and manage threats. The consultant will also lead a team in forecasting and responding to direct threats, ensuring that service delivery teams follow appropriate response protocols to mitigate risks. In addition to these responsibilities, the Security Consultant IV will engage with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to communicate risks and concerns affecting the organization. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with agencies, industry associations, and other security experts to drive innovation and establish best-in-class threat management programs. The consultant will also be expected to promote learning among coworkers, provide actionable feedback, and adapt to changes in the work environment. The position requires a strong focus on collaboration, problem-solving, and the ability to influence others to achieve effective business outcomes. The role is based in Oakland, CA, and requires at least 2-3 days of on-site work at Northern CA Medical Centers. The consultant will work a standard day shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and will be expected to travel up to 10% of the time.
