Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of students, staff, and visitors.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits and/or verifying credentials as required by site policies.
Assist with crowd management and direct individuals as needed during events or high-traffic periods on campus.
Document and communicate all incidents, issues, and/or concerns according to Allied Universal and location-specific procedures.
