About The Position
As a Security Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our Guests, Cast Members, and the overall environment of the Parks and Resorts. This position requires a passion for safety and security, as you will be responsible for observing and reacting to various occurrences throughout the Parks and Resorts. Your duties will include conducting inspections of buildings, bags, and packages, while also providing exceptional Guest service. You will be trained in essential emergency response techniques, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) usage, and bleeding control procedures, enabling you to respond effectively to emergencies. In this role, you will control vehicle and pedestrian access across the property, screen guests and their belongings for prohibited items, and utilize various technologies such as radio telecommunication and hand-held metal detection wands. Maintaining relationships with Cast Members at all levels is vital to providing excellent service to our Guests. You will also be responsible for assessing and analyzing situations, collecting information, and prioritizing tasks while remaining calm and maintaining confidentiality. During peak operational hours, you will supervise and maintain crowd control, which may require prolonged standing and walking in outdoor settings under varying weather conditions. Additionally, you may be required to use personal protective equipment and handle cleaning chemicals and supplies as part of your duties.
