As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a controlled environment. You will conduct routine mobile and bike patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to incidents while documenting observations and communicating clearly with site contacts and public partners. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and customer-focused service to every shift.
Requirements
- Must have updated resume
- Must have California Driver's License and be comfortable riding a bike
- Must have 2+ years of security, law enforcement, or military experience
- No Visible Tattoos or Piercings
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to ride a bike.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to government location staff and visitors by carrying out assigned duties, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct armed patrols and inspections of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor entrances, secured areas, and public-facing spaces; control access when directed; and verify identification, credentials, and/or badges in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and local public agencies as needed.
- Document security-related activities, incidents, and patrol findings in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate status updates to supervision per post requirements.
