About The Position

As a security auditor intern at Gallup, you’ll contribute meaningfully to the systems and processes that help safeguard our organization and the clients who trust us with their data.

Requirements

• Aptitude in the latest security principles, techniques and processes required, with an understanding of how to apply those principles to security-related technologies
• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, working toward a degree in information assurance, cybersecurity or a related field required
• Enrollment at a college or university within a 250-mile radius of Omaha, Nebraska, required
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during the summer of 2026 required
• A commitment to working on-site at Gallup’s Omaha, Nebraska, office Monday-Thursday required, with the option to work remotely on Friday

• Anticipated graduation between May 2026 and December 2026 preferred; will consider May 2027 graduates

Responsibilities

• Assist with internal audit activities (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) including preparation, documentation and coordination
• Support third-party risk assessments by helping review vendor security information and identifying potential risks
• Help review user access and permissions to ensure appropriate access controls are in place
• Explore opportunities to streamline compliance and security workflows using automation, AI tools and creating security baselines
