About The Position

As a Security Guard, you are responsible for maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for guests. This role involves monitoring Company premises, enforcing policies, responding to incidents, and providing a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high pressure situations.
• Basic computer and reporting skills.
• RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate required upon hire
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Pass pre-employment criminal background check
• Must be comfortable and able to stand for up to 6-8 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Requires dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, management and team.
• This position requires a flexible schedule, with rotating weekday and weekend shifts, including day, night, and holiday hours.

Nice To Haves

• Previous security, hospitality or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect properties to protect against theft, vandalism, fire, illegal access, and criminal activity
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, disturbances, or suspicious activity.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures and involve local law if needed.
• Identify possible hazards that may endanger employees and guests
• Ensure company procedures and guidelines are followed to protect the safety of guests and employees
• Assist guest with safety related concerns in a courteous manner.
• Comply with ABC regulations (Alcoholic Beverage Control)
• Walk and engage with guests to maintain order and protect the property
• Inform guests of policies when it appears they may be in violation of laws, regulations, and posted notices
• Handle stressful situations with tact and professionalism, exercising authority when necessary
• Notify the manager on duty or contact the Sheriff Department directly when an emergent situation occurs
• Complete incident reports, logs, and daily security documentation accurately.
• Manage crowd control during busy periods, events or peak dining hours.
• Other duties as assigned
