About The Position

The City of Sharonville is actively recruiting for a part-time Security Assistant to support operations at the Sharonville Convention Center. Under the direction of the Security Supervisor, the Security Assistant plays a key role in ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for events, staff, and visitors. Primary responsibilities include maintaining facility security during events; performing point-of-entry screening and checkpoint control in accordance with established protocols; coordinating and managing incoming deliveries and vendor access; monitoring electronic and physical security systems; responding to incidents and emergency situations; and completing required documentation and incident reports. The Security Assistant works collaboratively with City staff, contracted security personnel, emergency medical service providers, vendors, and local public safety agencies to support seamless event operations. Candidates must be comfortable working in a public-facing environment and be willing to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Qualified candidates will demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain professionalism while responding to changing conditions or challenging situations. Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or successful completion of the General Education Development (GED) test.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in security operations, customer service, event operations, or a related field is preferred. A combination of education, training, and professional experience may be considered in place of direct experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with event and security operations.
