About The Position

The Senior Security Assistant at DCS Corp will provide essential support to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM) at Joint Base Andrews. This role involves managing various security functions, including personnel security actions, information protection, and operational security, while ensuring compliance with national security objectives. The position requires a proactive approach to security operations and the ability to adapt to dynamic situations, contributing to the overall mission of the Air Force.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • A Bachelor's Degree plus 10 years of experience, with 5 years in the DoD.
  • Ability to maintain a TS/SCI clearance and be SAP eligible.
  • Understanding of counterintelligence threats and trends.
  • Familiarity with security policy/manuals and DoD and Air Force directives.
  • Familiarity with DISS and basic knowledge of the DD Form 254.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and interact effectively with DoD personnel and industry partners.
  • Demonstrated maturity in handling sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to C3BM Security Team in managing daily tactical level personnel security actions.
  • Manage collateral, SAP, and SCI in- and out-processing.
  • Oversee security system data management and monthly reporting development.
  • Handle visit access requests and facilitate indoctrinations.
  • Assist in delivering and tracking security education and awareness programs.
  • Support inspections, SAVs, and reviews.
  • Provide technical advice and security support to collateral and SCI programs.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Information Protection leads and program managers.
  • Assist in the development and writing of Operations Security (OPSEC) plans and other security documents.
  • Review program documentation for public release and ensure proper markings and classifications.
  • Provide classification guidance and assistance for collateral and SCI programs.
  • Prepare, process, and distribute inbound/outbound classified mail.
  • Assist with preparing classified packages and maintain receipt records.
  • Perform destruction of classified materials and CUI.
  • Ensure personnel security clearances are current and access is verified.
  • Prepare and review Visitor Access Requests for accuracy and eligibility.
  • Assist with inspection preparations and artifact creation for inspections.
  • Conduct entry and exit inspections and random anti-terrorism measures.
  • Follow and enforce the Government's standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with security container combination changes and maintenance.
  • Monitor secure spaces and assist with secure space builds/projects.
  • Support classified meetings and associated requirements.
  • Create or modify security awareness and education materials and deliver briefings.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed.
