Security Assistant - On Call

Requirements
- Flexibility to work variable hours and on an as-needed basis to support operational requirements—ideal for individuals who are retired, attending school, or seeking supplemental income
- High School Diploma or GED
- U.S. Citizenship
- Valid California driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance
- Ability to work out of the Carlsbad, CA office location
- This position includes operation of a company vehicle and will require a valid driver’s license and compliance with the Viasat Vehicle Driver Policy. A detailed Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) assessment will be required as part of Viasat’s pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities
- Direct and escort vendors, contractors, and other visitors throughout the campus
- Provide security oversight of contractor activities and maintain situational awareness for the Security Operations team
- Understand, follow, and enforce Viasat’s security and access control policies
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to interact courteously and effectively with a diverse range of individuals
- Follow detailed instructions and execute assigned tasks with precision
- Exhibit strong situational awareness and sound judgment
- Deliver excellent customer service to employees, guests, and partners
- Candidates demonstrating strong performance and reliability may be given exposure to additional duties within physical, administrative, information, and cyber security operations
