Reporting within the Cyber Security Engineering job family, you will be the definitive technical expert responsible for designing, building, and reviewing the security architecture across the entire enterprise. You will work cross-functionally to provide authoritative guidance on secure deployment of cloud and on-premises systems, ensuring security is "baked in" from the initial design phase. This role requires the ability to translate compliance requirements (e.g., SOC, FedRAMP, ISO) into technical implementation details.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Information Technology, with 5+ years specializing in security architecture.
  • Expertise in securing complex cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and associated services.
  • Experience with architecture review, threat modeling, and documenting security reference architectures.
  • Deep understanding of networking, operating systems, and identity and access management (IAM).
  • Ability to act as a technical liaison between security, engineering, and product teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field.
  • CISSP-ISSAP, CCSP, or AWS/Azure Security Architect certifications.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) security controls.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security automation and orchestration (SOAR).

Responsibilities

  • Act as the definitive technical expert responsible for designing, building, and reviewing security architecture across the entire enterprise to ensure security is baked in from the initial design phase.
  • Translate complex compliance requirements (such as SOC, FedRAMP, and ISO) into specific technical implementation details for cloud and on-premises systems.
  • Provide cross-functional guidance on the secure deployment of cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and associated services.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and threat modeling to document security reference architectures and identify potential systemic risks.
  • Serve as the primary technical bridge between security, engineering, and product teams to ensure cohesive security implementation.
