About The Position

As a Security Analyst you will have the opportunity to support the Global Security team’s efforts in physical and program security, supply chain security audit, threat/risk analysis and investigations across multiple programs and various projects though all levels of the organization. This position will be 100% On-Site (not Remote nor Hybrid) based in the Rocket Lab office in Wallops Island, Virginia with occasional domestic travel (<10%).

Requirements

  • Work experience as a facility security officer (“FSO”) or contractor program security officer (“CPSO”) and completion of relevant training and certification.
  • 4 years of experience in securing highly regulated facilities lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • This applicant must possess an active or recent (within past two (2) years) eligibility for a TS/SCI security clearance, issued by the US government. The applicant must be able to maintain clearance eligibility.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, supply chain management, business management, audit, or similar, with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Work experience in the military, space/aerospace, or defense industry.
  • Familiarity with the Wallops Island, VA NASA facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a fast-paced group of professionals to apply industry concepts to solve real challenges.
  • Support physical security and program security through development, deployment and continuous quality improvement, specifically to the protection of personnel and intellectual property, and security surrounding launch activities.
  • Audit corporate programs pertaining to asset protection, supply chain integrity, and transportation procedures, to contrast with “best practices,” identify risk and recommend mitigation.
  • Investigate sensitive allegations of fraud, waste and abuse and provide timely and accurate fact-based reporting.
  • Analyze external matters such as uniform crime reporting, business reputational management and emerging threats and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
  • Support security related administrative activities such as third-party vendor management, the design and maintenance of access control and video management systems, the issuance and control over identification badging, and the vetting of suppliers and partners.
  • Attend frequent 1:1’s with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success and learning while providing progress updates.
