About The Position

Our Company Partner's Customer Success team partners with federal customers to advise and assist them in designing and securing their solutions. To support this mission, we are looking for a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Security Analyst to assist federal customers in understanding and implementing cybersecurity strategies for their deployments. This role will involve contributing to the security authorization process and gaining experience in guiding customers through the government's IT security authorization process. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and is eager to expand their knowledge in architecting secure solutions for federal customers. You will gain practical experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, and contribute to the design of secure managed services. A strong interest in the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes is important, as you will support the development of System Security Packages (SSPs) and learn to apply RMF procedures under the guidance of senior team members. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or similar field.
  • An Active Government Clearance (Secret Clearance or above) is required.
  • Some foundational experience (approximately 1+ years) in IT systems administration, security principles, or cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Developing Understanding of RMF Processes: Gaining practical experience with the RMF steps, including system categorization, security control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring.
  • Contributing to ATO and FedRAMP Authorization: Assisting in the preparation of Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages and developing an understanding of the FedRAMP authorization process to ensure compliance with federal security standards (FedRAMP).
  • Collaborating with Security Analysts: Working closely with security analysts to understand and contribute to the design and implementation of security solutions that meet federal requirements.
  • Continuous Learning: Actively learning about the latest federal cybersecurity policies and best practices to support the security authorization process.
