Amentum is seeking a Security Analyst (ASO) to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and Office of Security (SIS). The role involves utilizing security concepts, principles, and practices to analyze and resolve complex security issues, collaborating with various SIS offices, and providing security guidance to contractors. The analyst will monitor security applications, prepare security procedures, and manage project milestones while interpreting security policies related to classified materials.

  • Utilize security concepts, principles and practices to analyze and resolve difficult and complex security issues.
  • Assist, collaborate, and coordinate with other SIS offices and divisions.
  • Develop solutions and convey to internal and external customers.
  • Provide security guidance to contractors using DoD and IC regulations and requirements.
  • Monitor security applications through the review and analysis of appropriate metrics.
  • Prepare and disseminate security procedures/guidance.
  • Investigate and prepare impact statements, and provide recommendations on security/security violations.
  • Provide guidance in implementing security requirements.
  • Manage project milestones.
  • Interpret security policy on matters pertaining to process, dissemination, and controlling of classified materials.
  • Receive, control and safeguard SCI and collateral information.
  • Act as liaison between NGA and other federal agencies and contractors.
  • Prepare both SCI and collateral materials for shipment to other agencies/sites.
  • Prepare outgoing classified messages on employees/contractor visiting other government facilities.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings to internal and external customers.
  • Recommend to the customer proper classification/protection of national security data.
  • Brief, process, and schedule external requests for polygraphs, clearances, debriefs, and background investigations.
  • Provide telephone and written status checks, including checks of internal and external personnel security databases.
  • Assist Program Managers, Contracting Officers, and Contracting Officer Representatives to prepare task order security guidance.
  • Establish emergency and contingency plans to protect NGA assets in heightened levels of threat conditions.
  • Perform functions as security control officer by verifying need-to-know processing program access requests.
  • Obtain Access to Special Access Program (SAP), Control Access Program (CAP) and/or Alternate Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) Information.
  • Perform and conduct site security surveys, including compliance of technology equipment supporting SCIFs.
  • Review and prepare Fixed Facility Checklist and documentation supporting the accreditation process.
  • Provide industrial security guidance to contractors using the NISPOM requirements.
  • Provide support to established OPSEC program.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and Executive Orders regarding OPSEC and information security.
  • Facilitate the IC Working Groups (OPSEC and Security Monitors).
  • Assist the government SEA team and other SIS Divisions to determine the scope and direction of the Program.
  • Prepare SEA briefings and products.
  • Provide technical security expertise in one or more of the following security disciplines: personnel, physical/industrial, computer investigations, and operations.
  • Monitor and manage security programs and provide status reports and recommendations for decisions.
  • TS/SCI clearance and must be willing to undergo a polygraph exam.
  • 5 years of experience in one or more security fields.
  • Experience using IC security repositories (DISS, Scattered Castles, etc.).
  • Experience writing security related reports.
  • Experience providing security briefings/training to non-security personnel on aspects or components of a security program.
  • Familiar with DoD task order Security Classification Specification (DD 254).
  • Experience leading security teams.
  • Experience tracking projects and milestones.
  • Experience generating security metrics.
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
  • Managing SCIF locations in accord with ICD 705 requirements.
  • Using online communication programs (such as Microsoft Teams).
  • Experience in multiple security disciplines.
