About The Position

The position involves maintaining control of all persons entering and exiting the facility through the Employee entrance. The individual is required to follow new PPE and safety guidance designed to safeguard themselves, fellow team members, and guests. Responsibilities include maintaining a Communications Log of all radio traffic, acting as a dispatcher for the Security Department, answering and handling all incoming phone calls, monitoring security cameras, recording employee breaks, responding to alarms, dispatching emergency responses, and maintaining security by issuing keys and access badges. The role requires effective communication with guests and employees and the preparation of reports as needed. The working hours are from 8 am to 4 pm with Wednesdays and Thursdays off, and the ability to work weekends and holidays is necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge and ability to use computers and Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Must meet licensing requirements of the West Virginia Lottery.
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of residence.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain control of all persons entering and exiting the facility.
  • Follow PPE and safety guidance.
  • Maintain a Communications Log of all radio traffic.
  • Act as a dispatcher for the Security Department.
  • Answer and handle all incoming phone calls.
  • Monitor security cameras covering the service area.
  • Record all employee breaks.
  • Monitor and respond to alarms in the service area.
  • Dispatch emergency response (Fire, EMS, etc.) as requested.
  • Monitor status of generator alarms and report problems.
  • Act as a liaison between the Security Department and other departments.
  • Dispatch all money escorts from the podium.
  • Maintain a log of all money escorts, patron escorts, emergency cash box exchanges, and B-Door repairs.
  • Dispatch officers in response to calls.
  • Ensure all posts are maintained.
  • Maintain security and issue keys and radios.
  • Maintain security and issue vendor and visitor access badges.
  • Communicate via voice, radio, logs, and telephone with guests and employees.
  • Prepare reports as requested or required.
