About The Position

The Security Agent plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, employees, and visitors across Shanty Creek Resorts. This position is responsible for monitoring resort property, responding to incidents, and enforcing policies and procedures to protect people, property, and assets. Working independently and as part of a team, the Security Agent conducts routine patrols, responds to calls for service, and assists with emergency situations as needed. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to providing professional and courteous service at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The Security Agent must be reliable, observant, and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential for responding to a variety of situations.
  • This role requires professionalism, integrity, and the ability to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and emergency personnel.
  • A customer service mindset, combined with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail, is critical for success in this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
  • CPR, First Aid, or AED certification
  • Experience working in hospitality or resort environments
  • Basic report writing and computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Patrol resort property on foot and/or by vehicle to ensure safety and security
  • Monitor buildings, grounds, and facilities for suspicious activity or safety concerns
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and guest or employee concerns
  • Enforce resort policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner
  • Complete incident reports and maintain accurate daily activity logs
  • Assist guests and employees with safety-related needs and general inquiries
  • Coordinate with local emergency services when necessary
  • Support event and peak period operations to ensure a safe environment
  • Report hazards, maintenance concerns, and unsafe conditions
