About The Position

The Security Agent monitors the ingress, movement, and egress of persons requiring access to Company facilities, including controlled airport areas, such as employees, truckers, and sales people. This role may involve maintaining a log of cargo entering and leaving the facility, ensuring compliance with TSA regulations. Responsibilities also include adhering to guidelines for escorting and identifying personally owned vehicles within secured areas, visually monitoring activity in controlled areas, and challenging unauthorized individuals according to set guidelines. The agent must be prepared to act upon emergency situations related to security breaches as defined by TSA/airport regulations. Additionally, the role may require screening cargo in accordance with TSA regulations and maintaining Sensitive Security Information (SSI) per established procedures.

Requirements

HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Strong oral communication skills.
Must undergo initial and recurrent training.

Public contact experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays and days off.

Responsibilities

Ability to remain in confined work station for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift, twist and turn.
Cognitive skills to comply with established guidelines on security.
Ability to speak and be understood in giving directions and/or information to employees/customers/vendors
Cognitive skills to be decisive and use independent judgment.
Must be willing to wear uniform and insignia as prescribed by the Company.
Personal appearance and grooming that will present a favorable corporate image.
Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
